Town Hall Happenings

Extracts from the Anchor Rock Town Hall Record Book – Entries by Leo Caspin

  • I was absent for a week and the town is intact. Tyler and Astrid have been keeping an eye on Oleman. Our new chief of police, OJ, has chased our greatest threat, Greg the Goat, out of town (Cobb MacIntyre has decided to take on a deputy role as he prepares for retirement). Nella and Renn have kept up with the paperwork, and Nella has kept her farming classes going too.
  • A fibre optic cable has appeared.

  • As I had hoped, Nella and Renn are running for co-mayor. Mayor Mr Frederickson did ring and ask if he could stand for Mayor from the city. I told him that chicken-thieves cannot stand for Mayor from anywhere. Nella and Renn are running without competition.
  • I’ve been trying to get in contact with residents of Anchor Rock who aren’t currently in town to make sure they are registered to vote. I also wanted to see how folks are doing generally. I’ve managed to get in contact with nearly every local and transfer on my records. Except, for the life of me, I cannot get anything from Cassie Tozer, Ayla Sage, Elowyn Sage, or Nora Teredo. They're all very capable, and I know they’ll be okay – they’re probably off seeing the wonders of the world – but it would’ve been nice to hear their voices, even over the phone.

Incident Report. 8:26 pm 25/6/2024

Romilly Barker arrived in Anchor Rock by train today. He wanted his house back. Unfortunately, as you can see in Appendix F, I have records that clearly document that he kindly donated the house to the town of Anchor Rock and rescinded his status as a resident here. As a result he cannot vote in the election and will be leaving on the next train. What a shame.

Nella Tsai and Renn Andersons have won the election. See Appendix B for their manifesto which details their plans to grow the communications technology in Anchor Rock. See Appendix E for Transference Day planning.

Dear Alex, I have found the most wonderful brand of marshmallow (see attachment). Could you perhaps get them in for this year's Transference day which will begin at 2:00am on the 2nd May? Seems they will go a perfect crispy golden colour when roasted.

Also, Hal found these sunglasses with Alderman on the side in the woods, do they belong to you?

- Secretary Leo
