“A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet.” - a very cheerful stranger

Alex Alderman

any pronouns

Player: Isla H. (she/her)
About: Alex Alderman is a real estate tycoon in their early 40s and the founder and CEO of Alderman Residential. One of the richest people in NNYC, Alex lives in the Alderman Arrow - a skyscraper in the heart of the financial district. Alex wears a tailored business suit and an arrogant expression, as he looks at you with disdain.

Billy Tanner

any pronouns

Player: Harry W. (he/him)
About: Leather or other textiles? I've got you sorted, it's what I do. Making it or repairing it, I can get that done. Ignore the smell. It feels like you should know more about me, but I'm too much of a recluse for that. You can find me in our hut on the outskirts, and I'm always happy to help. You don't really know where I go all day, though, it's certainly not where the other people go to hang out. I'm in my late twenties and fairly athletic, wearing simple, hand-sewn clothing.

Cassie Tozer

she/her

Player: Effy G. (they/them)
About: Cassie is a kind 20 year old who feels a little lost in Anchor Rock, almost as if she is on equal terms with the newcomers. Anchor Rock no longer feels like home, but she can't bear to leave, finding comfort in the constellations she can gaze upon from the quarry and from listening in to music and murmurs of civilisation she can hear when she listens into distant radio broadcasts, whether she should be listening to them or not. Growing up in the side streets and wandering through the outskirts, she'll be a familiar face, even if not a familiar name. Eager to help the transfers return home, she is friendly towards everyone, even if they do find her to be a little peculiar.

Chris Keller

he/him

Player: Jack G. (he/him)
About: “Good morning Anchor Rock. And what a morning it is…” Sounds the voice of Chris Keller (42) , presenter of the one and only Anchor Rock broadcast, from the nearby radio. It’s an incredibly experimental broadcast, filled with local music, news, the latest report of ‘Greg the Goat escape artist’, stories from locals, tips and tricks from local craftspeople, the list goes on and on. A smiling face with short already greying hair, who’s always on the look out for something new to be put on the air. Chris is always happy to lend a hand to anyone who needs it, doing odd jobs here and there. Older locals may remember he was fostered by many different families across Anchor Rock whilst growing up.

Christine Fredrickson

she/her

Player: Faith C. (she/her)
About: Everyone who lives in Anchor Rock would know Christine Frederickson, though it has been three years since you have seen her last, and her hair is significantly more red than it has been for the past two decades. Daughter of the Mayor and aspiring Musical Theatre Star young Christine made it her mission to leave Anchor Rock, rebelling against the suffocating constraints of idyllic countryside and clean, unpolluted sky. Due to inconstant communication capabilities no one has heard much of Christine in her absence but her prominent success in the Theatre World is constant topic of conversation and pride in the local community. From the time she vandalised the Anchor Rock to her amateur skateboarding abilities Christine certainly has something of a legacy in the town. Despite her stand-offish demeanor she is friendly and open, her fame and success on Broadway has not made her arrogant, and she is more than happy to discuss the latest Anchor Rock drama.

Crosbie Potts

they/them

Player: Ruoqi H. (she/her)
About: Crosbie is a typically quiet individual who hails from a railroad town and is both the owner and certified mechanic of a family-owned bike shop. They are always seen wearing an apron paired with rain boots. While they primarily fix bikes, occasionally they might tackle something else. Feel free to chat with them when you drop off your bike for maintenance; Crosbie would love to be your listener.

Dell Bell

he/him

Player: Kamil M. (he/him)
About: Dell Bell, a man who loves one thing and one thing only: Building. It can be a fence, a chicken-coup, a huge sign, some maintenance work on a leaky roof, a shack, anything. Give this lil' feller a construction job, and he'll get it done, sometimes almost a bit *too* enthusiastically.
What's that? Did the tiling on your roof just break this morning? Not one hour has passed, and he's already up there patching it up, without a single word and a smile on his face. Did you casually mention in a conversation a day ago about wanting a new fence put up in your backyard garden? He is already standing in front of your house come morning, tool-kit in hand and a friendly wave. Seriously, does this guy have nothing else to do???
One look at one of the dozen of shacks he built on the outskirts of town can answer that question rather quickly. Oh and one more thing whatever you do DO NOT ask him to tell you about his brother Jane. That is unless you have an entire spare afternoon worth of listening.

Elowyn Sage

she/her

Player: Ameal W. (they/them)
About: Elowyn Sage is a local goatherd. She is around thirty years old, and is generally friendly with the town, if not a little emotionally distant. She has long blonde hair and often wears a flower crown, a symbol of her devotion to the religious concept of Treow. She is never seen without the mountain hare she calls Clementine, who she insists is not her pet. She lives with her grandfather Rowan Tanner and her sister, the seamstress Ayla Sage, who experiences chronic fatigue and is not seen walking around town too often.

Erin Blake

they/she

Player: Katy N. (any pronouns)
About: Erin is a part-time wildlife conservationist, working in the mountains of Anchor Rock, and a full-time cryptozoology enthusiast. Since the age of 12, after reading a questionably real story, Erin has been obsessed with the minor cryptid Isopod Man and is now the founder and president of the Anchor Rock Cryptozoology Organisation. She is an eccentric woman found often in the wilderness of Anchor Rock or in the library researching the cryptids of the local area. They view the Transference as definite proof, and perhaps the divine intervention, of the Isopod Man.

Faolán O'Fionn

he/him

Player: Ace D. (they/he)
About: Faolán is a solitary man. His shoulders hunch, his gaze averts, his hands seem forever to be seeking the futile safety of the pocket. Instead, though, those hands clutch a notebook; leather, worn, well-loved – in the sense that every page is marked with his scrawling, yet so carefully cared for. His hands itch to write.
In the absence of ink, those hands find purpose in frantic movement. They tap, fiddle and fidget, twisting the buttons of a fading corduroy jacket, pulling at the wrinkled collar of an untucked cotton shirt. Straw-blond hair falls about his shoulders, pulled loose from the clasp that tries and fails to hold it back.
A far-off stare perpetually occupies his shadowed eyes, and his focus is far from grounded, but the softness of his words, few and far between as they are, and the kindness of his smile – they’re welcoming. Approachable. Faolán is a solitary man… but perhaps he does not want to be alone.

Felix Robin

he/him

Player: Noureen I. (she/her)
About: Felix Robin is a 20-year-old English Literature student and musician, a transfer from the big city. He's hard to miss with his bass guitar slung around his shoulder, his shock of bright blue hair, though its fading and growing out, and his appalling sense of colour co-ordination, or lack-thereof even. He's friendly and approachable, near constantly smiling, and is often times found just sat somewhere around Anchor Rock, taking in the brand new location and the fresh mountain air.

Florian Sinclair

he/her

Player: Gareth M. (she/her)
About: Florian, or Flo to her friends (which includes basically everyone), is a strong, middle-aged local who supplies Anchor Rock with any firewood or wooden craft furniture they might need. He also does his own woodcarving and woodturning, and he's quite handy at it. She's pretty easy to recognise around town with her curly brown hair and assorted flannel shirts. His cabin on the outskirts of town by the forest is easy enough to find if you follow the sounds of her axe or woodworking machines. The locals of Anchor Rock know Flo's door is always open if you need a shoulder to lean on and a cup of something warm.

Fred Reading

he/him

Player: Zac G. (he/him)
About: Fred Reading looks to be a bland and frankly rather dull seeming man in his early forties. He is of a slightly slender build and always seems to be wearing a tie and waistcoat no matter where he is. No one is entirely sure what he does for a living, but he seems to have worked just about everywhere, yet somehow seems to make even that seem slightly boring.

Frobenius Norm

he/him

Player: Isaac C. (he/him)
About: Age: 62
Relationship: married to his wife
Status: Transfer
Hobbies: fishing, hunting, watching the game
Supports: The Loyal Wombats (football team)
Appearance: a beer-bellied man with white (formerly ginger) hair, typically seen wearing a bucket hat studded with various fishing flies. He has an excellent moustache and shaves his embarrassing excuse for a beard
Former residence: Dogacre
Vibes: looks like he wears deodorant most of the time and probably has never been in a bar fight
Job: he does… something… part-time. It's not entirely clear what that something is and the more you talk to him, the more confusing it is
